It’s only been a year since I last saw her and she’s grown so much! From a cherubic angel to a young lady. Articulate, artistic and most of all, accelerating into the wild abandon of youth. :p Happy Birthday Isabel!

It all started innocently enough…an afternoon at grandma’s, jumping around in the air castle, and then came the full-on-no-holds-barred-pummel-the-fathers-till-they-cry mob frenzy. Tyler, I hope you remember your 5th birthday. Cos I certainly will! Check it out here.

When I first received the assignment, I thought “Princess Alyssa” was her mother’s way of referring to her daughter fondly. It turned out that she was a real princess, with Prince Charming in tow and castle with dukes and duchesses hanging out with her! I have pictures to prove it!

Children are very good reminders of what love is all about. They were playing musical chairs and Isabel being the youngest of the lot was not the fastest at grabbing a seat. Her sister did the most wonderful thing by sharing a place with her. It wasn’t about being the best or winning the race. It was about making sure that the weak among us were not left behind.
